The short verdict
Consider it when boxes occupy a valuable shelf surface and there is an unused pocket immediately below another shelf. The regular Stone model is a specific size; it should not be confused with the large gray organizer discussed in our food-wrap guide. Confirm the model number and current listing before ordering.
- Good match
- A shelf with spare space underneath, a compatible thickness and a permitted adhesive attachment surface.
- Choose another approach when
- The shelf is too thick, its trim blocks the brackets, the surface is unsuitable or attachment is not permitted.
- Published dimensions
- 3.5 inches H × 10.4 inches W × 8.7 inches D (9 × 26.3 × 22.1 cm). For installation, use shelf space wider than 26.5 cm (about 10.43 inches), with clearance. The maker lists maximum shelf thickness as 2 cm and rounds this to ¾ inch; use the stricter ¾-inch limit.
- Exact model
- 8500019; regular Stone recycled-plastic version; Amazon ASIN B0F848211W
How to check the fit
- Measure the shelf thickness, including any front edge or trim. The manufacturer lists 2 cm and the rounded ¾-inch maximum; use the stricter ¾-inch figure. A thick decorative edge can prevent installation even when the main panel is thinner.
- Reserve more than 26.5 cm (about 10.43 inches) of width, with clearance. The manufacturer's page gives slightly different minimum widths in different sections, so use the stricter figure rather than relying on an exact fit.
- Check the 8.7-inch depth and the 3.5-inch drop below the shelf against everything already stored there. Open and close the cabinet door and account for hinges.
- Measure complete wrap boxes, including end flaps. Confirm that each can be gripped and removed without exposing a cutting edge to your hand.
What this changes—and what it does not
Using the space under a shelf can free the surface below, but the holder and boxes reduce the clearance for existing contents. It is a mounted storage decision, not a freestanding bin that can move whenever the cupboard changes.
Keep boxes in a single accessible drawer layer if that already works. A removable upright holder is another arrangement when shelf attachment is unsuitable, but its loaded height needs a separate check.
Care and limits
Follow the current manufacturer's surface-preparation and adhesive instructions, including the stated 24-hour wait before use. Confirm permission for attachment in a rental. Adhesive mounting does not establish damage-free removal or compatibility with every cabinet finish.
A small-space gift check
Choose this only after the recipient confirms shelf measurements and accepts the attachment method. It is a poor surprise gift for an unknown rental kitchen; a photo of a shelf cannot prove surface compatibility.
Sources and selection method
Selected by the storage problem solved, published fit requirements, everyday access and the situations where buying would not help. This is an editorial shortlist, not a test ranking or a best-seller chart.
